In order to understand the structure and evolution of compact objects as well as explosive phenomena related to them, we will conduct observational, theoretical, and experimental projects.

① Observations:
Exploring dark accelerators in the inner region of Milky Way and identifying them with collaboration with theory group.

② Theoretical studies of the structure and evolution of compact objects that emit various high-energy electromagnetic waves (X-ray/gamma-ray) as well as gravitational waves. Numerical studies of stellar and binary evolution.

③ Experiments:
Measuring nuclear reaction rates relevant to rare isotopes by utilizing rare isotope accelerators abroad and investigating the effect of reaction rates on explosive phenomena around compact objects. Contributing to development of Korean rare isotope accelerator (RAON).
