Visa Information
Participants from most countries, including US, Canada, EU, Japan, Russia, and etc, does NOT need a visa to enter Korea. But there are a number of countries including China from which visitors may need a visa.
Jeju offers a flexible entry/departure policy, which allows visitors from visa-required coutries to stay without a visa for up to 30 days when visitors enter into Jeju directly from abroad not through Incheon, Gimpo, or Gimhae airport. If visitors transit at Incheon, Gimpo, or Gimhae, they may need a visa clearance according to their nationalities. Visa-free Entry to Jeju: 180 Countries (Only 11 countries are required to apply for a visa: Afghanistan, Cuba, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, Macedonia, Palestine, Sudan, and Syria). How to get to Jeju Island (Jeju International Airport)
1) From foreign airports
Direct flight services to Jeju international airport (CJU) from Japan, China and Taiwan are available:
Japan (Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, Narita)
China (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Dalian, Haerbin, Changchun)
Taiwan (Taipei)
2) From Incheon International Airport (Incheon Airport - Gimpo Airport - Jeju Airport)
Most international flights for South Korea arrive at Incheon international airport (ICN).
Although there are flight connections to Jeju international airport from Incheon airport, it is not frequent (only two flights a day). The best way to Jeju airport is via Gimpo international airport (GMP). To
go to Gimpo airport, you have to pass immigrations and claim your baggages.
Incheon Airport - Gimpo Airport (by land)
- Airport railroad express (AREX) : AREX runs every 5~15 minutes to Gimpo airport. The fare is KRW 3,500 and it takes about 35 minutes. For more information, visit AREX homepage.
- Bus : At incheon airport, bus ticketing offices are located near Exit 4 and 9. Purchase the ticket to Gimpo airport (about KRW 6,500 for Limousine Deluxe/Standard). Go outside of the building to Bus Stop 3B and 10A for Deluxe and 4B and 11A for Standard. Bus runs every 10~20 minutes and the trip takes about 35~40 minutes.
- Taxi : It takes about 35 minutes by taxi and costs about KRW 45,000.
Gimpo Airport - Jeju Airport (by air)
At Gimpo airport, use domestic flight to Jeju. There are flights to Jeju every 10~20 minutes and takes about one hour. Reservation (for Gimpo-Jeju) can be made at following airlines : Korean Air, Asiana, Jin Air, Jeju Air, Eastar Jet.

1) By Taxi
From Jeju International Airport to ShineVille Resort takes about 1 hour and will cost around KRW 40,000 by taxi. Please take a taxi and show this to taxi driver.
2) By Shuttlebus
It is free, but needs a reservation. It takes an hour and half to reach Shine Ville Resort from Jeju International Airport.
