After renovation, the Spapia hotel has changed its name to Intercity. You can still use the same phone number, the URL, and address of the hotel.

 

By Bus

The simplest and cheapest way to get to Daejeon from Incheon International Airport (ICN) is to use the Airport Limousine Bus. A map shows the plan of the first floor of an arrival terminal and nearby bus stops. In order to get on the bus to Daejeon, please go to the bus stop 9D and buy a ticket at a bus ticket office next to the bus stop. The bus fare before 10pm is 22,100 Won and that after 10pm (with midnight premium) is 24,300 Won.

Time table from ICN to Daejeon: 06:00, 06:20, 06:50 07:10, 07:30, 07:50 08:10, 08:25, 08:50 09:10, 09:30, 09:50 10:20, 10:40 11:00, 11:20, 11:50 12:20, 12:40 13:00, 13:40 14:10, 14:40 15:10, 15:40 16:10, 16:40 17:00, 17:20, 17:50 18:10, 18:40 19:10, 19:50 20:20, 20:50 21:20, 21:50, 22:10, 22:40, 23:10.

It takes about two and a half hours from ICN to Daejeon by the bus. On the way down to Daejeon, the bus might stop at a rest place for 10-15 minutes. After the bus exits from the highway and enters into Daejeon City, you should get off at the 2nd stop in front of the Government Complex Building. In case you are not sure where you should get off, you may show this map to a fellow passenger around you or driver. He/She will certainly let you know the right stop for you.

The bus stop, the Government Complex Building, is located at a busy street. You will see many people even in the late evening or after the midnight. Please take a taxi. You can find a line of taxis. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi from the bus stop to Hotel Spapia. The distance is about 4 km and the fare is around 4,000 Won. Please show the direction for Spapia Hotel, which is written in Korean, to taxi driver.

By Train

If you want to take train(s), please follow the following steps. First, you should take "Airport Railroad" from Incheon Airport to Seoul station. Second, you might take a KTX (Korea Train eXpress) train from Seoul station to Daejeon station. Then, you may take a taxi from Daejeon Station to the Spapia Hotel. Here go instructions of each step.

 

You are supposed to be on the first floor of the passenger terminal, when you come out from an arrival gate. The Airport Rail station is on the B1 floor of the terminal. Please follow signs to the Airport Rail station. An express train goes from the Airport Rail station to the Seoul station in about 43 minutes without any stop in between. It leaves at every 30 minutes from 5:30 am. The fare is 13,330 Won. You can also take a regular train. Please read the website of the Airport Express for more detailed information.

 

Once you arrive at the Seoul station, please follow signs and find a KORAIL (Korea Railroad Corporation) counter, where you should buy a ticket for a KTX train from Seoul to Daejeon. It takes about from 50 minutes to 60 minutes, depending on how many stations the train stops. The fare is around 21,400 Won for a regular seat. Approximately, every 15 minutes there is a train from Seoul to Daejeon Station. The last train at Seoul Station departs at 23:30. In a train, there will be an announcement for a next stop in English. Please remember "Daejeon" and prepare to take off once you hear "Daejeon" station.

 

Once you arrive at the Daejeon station, please come out toward a western exit. Then you can see many taxis, which are waiting for customers. It takes about 30 minutes by taxi from the bus stop to Hotel Spapia. The distance is about 10 km and the fare is around 8,000 Won. Please show the direction for Spapia Hotel, which is written in Korean, to a taxi driver.

By Taxi

The fare of taxi is quite expensive, but it should be the most convenient transportation for you to come from the Incheon Airport to the Intercity (Spapia) Hotel. There is a company called International TAXI, which provides a pickup service at the Incheon Airport, and transportation to usually Seoul area. But you can hire a taxi up to Intercity Hotel. You can make a reservation through the above website, by calling to this number, +82-1644-2255, or at the Airport. The location of the information desk of the company in between No. 4 and No. 5 gates on the first floor of the passenger terminal. Again, you need the direction for Spapia Hotel to a taxi driver, where you can find address of the hotel. The approximate fare of hiring a taxi to the hotel should be less than 300,000 Won, which includes toll fee for highways. They said that the fare is based on a meter in a taxi. The distance between the Incheon Airport and Intercity Hotel in Daejeon is 203 Km. Even though you hire a taxi with a few people, the fare is the same. So it is good idea to share the taxi. The workshop will be held in the KASI. A bus will be provided for the transportation between the hotel and KASI. The gathering place is the lobby of the Hotel. The bus will depart around 8:20am in the morning during the workshop. It takes about 20 minutes from the hotel to the KASI. The returning bus from the KASI to the hotel will also be provided.

In case you miss the bus, you can go the reception of the hotel and ask to call a taxi. You may show a taxi driver this direction to the KASI.
