Frontiers in Galaxy Morphology Studies January 25 – 27, 2018 Busan, Korea
Venue: Novotel Ambassador
Hotel, Haeundae, Busan, Korea Program •
Jan. 25 (Thu): General Discussion and Reception •
Jan. 26 (Fri): Observational Studies of Galaxy Morphology •
Jan. 27 (Sat): Star Formation Feedback on Galaxy Formation and Evolution Scientific Rationale: The morphology of
galaxies is one of the most important problems in modern cosmology. Thanks to both high-resolution deep
images of galaxies in multi-wavelengths and state-of-art computer simulations
of galaxy formation, our understanding of physical processes that govern the
evolution of galaxy morphology has been rapidly advanced in the last decade.
This workshop aims to review the recent development in both observational and
theoretical challenges regarding this outstanding problem. Invited Speakers •
